We have developed the best thermal intake manifold gasket for the mazdaspeed DISI engines.
We have been working with a big name in performance gaskets and they laughed when I asked about using PTFE for an intake gasket. While ptfe is a great thermal insulator, ptfe gaskets distort over time and the more heat they are subjected to, the more they distort and "creep". Ptfe is a poor choice for a serious performance engine. It is supposed to be reuseable, but after time the shape changes enough that it does not match the ports properly.
Our gasket is made of .093 thick Metal reinforced cellulose fiber / silicone. Our gasket features a thin steel center with fiber on each side. The fiber material is an excellent at sealing and keeping the heat from the cylinder head from passing to the intake manifold. The steel core is excellent at making this gasket extremely durable and make sure it won't creep or distort over time.
The super tig is port matched to the cylinder head better than any gasket on the market.
Our gasket has a lower thermal conductivity than PTFE which makes it a better thermal gasket

Includes a washer to space out the lower intake manifold mounting bolt.
Also includes a stud & nut to use on the lower intake mount instead of a bolt to make installing the spacer washer easier.(not pictured)
Owning a direct injected motor, it is inevitable that you will be removing your intake manifold for periodic valve cleanings. This is the perfect time to upgrade the intake manifold gasket to our thermal insulating gasket and drastically cut down on the heat that transfers between the cylinder head and intake manifold. Cooler air = more power & longer engine life.
The oem stainless steel gasket has a thermal conductivity rating of ~ 16 w/(m k)
Ptfe gaskets have an excellent thermal conductivity rating of ~ .25 w/(m k)
Our gasket material has an even better thermal conductivity rating of ~ .19 w/(m k)
